  First release of the official-NVIDIA-flatpak install/uninstall pair for Arch + Hyprland (Omarchy-friendly).

  What it does

  • Installs the official NVIDIA GeForce NOW flatpak (com.nvidia.geforcenow) — not the community electron build, so you get NVIDIA's native streaming client (proper codecs, higher resolutions/framerates, HDR where supported).
  • Forces XWayland because Wayland-native is currently broken under Hyprland.
  • Drops ~/.local/bin/geforcenow wrapper with SDL_VIDEODRIVER=x11.
  • Writes a .desktop entry pointing at the wrapper, with StartupWMClass=GeForceNOW so the windowrule matches.
  • Injects a marker-bracketed Hyprland windowrule into ~/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf to launch fullscreen, then reloads Hyprland live.
  • Restarts Walker/Elephant so the new entry shows up immediately.

  Why this version exists

  The earlier draft of these scripts had two issues against current (post-update) Hyprland + Omarchy:

  1. Used windowrulev2 — deprecated since Hyprland 0.46. Now uses the modern unified windowrule syntax.
  2. Wrote rules to ~/.config/hypr/windowrules.conf, which Omarchy's stock hyprland.conf does NOT auto-source — rules were silently ignored. Now writes a marker-bracketed block straight to hyprland.conf, which is idempotent on re-run.

  Tested on Hyprland 0.54.3.
